Back to Memory Lane
Growing up reading Rupert Bear adventures, Asterix & Obelix, Tintin and many others books; thanks to my mom without her unknowingly instilled my passion for books; whom had been bringing me and my sister to her office a treasure cove full of thousand and mountain of books (we were practically forced or drag to her office and since there was no one to babysit us I reckon) on those long boring school term holidays hence by age 5 I could read very well and had this OCD of reading everything that could be read. As u all had guess my mom is a librarian (I assume she loved her career being a librarian as she had never switch job till the day she retired at public service at an age of 55), she conviniently worked at the children litrary section when we were growing up ;) I haven't step into the library since Secondary3 and mom had since retired a few years back; I reckon it won't be the same Dewan Bahasa (National Library) that I had knew fond of and grew up with. What lovely memories I had with all those books. Everytime I went to Waterstones I would just go to the children section and it does rekindled me back to those loving hours sitting in the coloured kiddy chairs with my mom keeping an eye at the corner while I relishing reading those wonderful books.
